Christ is Risen!!!

I hope everyone had a Happy Easter! We spent the day going to church, then having brunch out and relaxed the rest of the day. Here are pictures from our day.

Emma and Bree

After we got home from church and brunch, I ran inside and hid the eggs and Easter baskets
Emma's basket
I made the girls each a 'mommy' and 'baby' mermaid doll! Emma's basket also included Ariel pj's, princess bubble bath, princess puzzle and candy. I stayed up late the night before embroidering the face on her dolls.

Bree's basket - unfortunately, I was too tired and it was too late to get the face done on one of Bree's dolls, so I still have to do that! Bree's basket also included new books and a stacking bowl toy set.

I hid the baskets in the princess castle!

Emma with her new dolls!

Bree was pretty intrigued about all the commotion!

Emma with her new puzzle!
Apparently I didn't get a hard enough puzzle b/c she had this 48 piece one done in like 5 minutes! Its time to move onto the 100 piece!

So you can clearly tell that Bree's arms are getting kinda chubby in this picture!!!

One happy baby!!!

I am now caught up on posting. I posted 2 others in the last day or so, so be sure to keep scrolling down in case you haven't seen them!

Fun Day Shopping...

Shane had Good Friday for Easter weekend off, so we planned to head to the outlet mall and stop at my chiropractors along the way (its about 20 miles from the mall) for a badly needed adjustment...unfortunately the weather was calling for rain and thunderstorms and I woke up with a migraine and had to stay in bed all morning...so, we delayed our trip until Saturday (so I didn't get to see my chiropractor).
God blessed us with a beautiful day on Saturday. We were even out of the house by 9am (which is pretty huge nowadays!) We spent about 5 hours at the outlet mall, hitting up old navy, carters, oshkosh b'gosh, motherhood (for nursing stuff), maurices and having lunch at subway. On our way back we stopped at kohl's, gordmans and target at the mall. Shane even let me go in to the buckle and pick me out a new pair of badly needed/wanted jeans while he took the girls down to barnes & noble to pick out some books for the girls. I found the perfect pair of jeans in 15 minutes (completely God!) We then ate a yummy supper at outback steak house (Shane had steak, I had lobster) and headed home. God blessed us with a really fun day together as a family, and literally worked out every detail! And every purchase I made, except for Barnes & Noble, I used a coupon and/or gift cards!

Bree getting ready to go shopping

Emma ready to go, purse and all!

This was taken after we got home, Bree was ready to stretch out!

Some spring/summer clothes for Emma

Some spring/summer clothes for Bree

and of course we had to get a few matching outfits!

Cute shoes for Bree-Bree

My new jeans and I even scored a few tops for spring/summer!
You know God was with us all day when I was able to even do some shopping for myself with the girls!
and yes, we all got stuff that was pink and/or orange...I just can't help myself!

Our April in a Nutshell

The last few weeks have been kinda rough! The girls came down with low-grade fevers and runny noses a couple of weeks ago and Bree has been uncomfortable while teething! Shane came down sick last week and was home from work for 1 day. As for me, I have been fighting a nasty case of mastitis...which causes flu-like symptoms, fatigue, fever and breast pain (for those of you that haven't ever breastfed before!) I had a fever for over 2 weeks straight (I thought it broke one day only to come back later that evening). My OB prescribed me an antibiotic that did nothing the week I took it, so the next week I saw her again and she double the first antibiotic and prescribed me a second one which I finished them yesterday and am finally fever free for 2 days, but still have some pain and definitely not up to par yet. So we will see what comes of the next few days and decide what to do next.
The weather has been cold and rainy, so we have been in the house most of the time and are definitely ready for some sunshine and outings to the park! Here are some pictures of the last few weeks:

Bree's first taste of solid food!
She has been acting very curious watching us at the dinner table, so I thought it was time to give oatmeal a try and she loved it! She also got to try some juice too! Next we are going to try sweat potatoes and squash.

Sister thought Bree needed a headband!

Other big Bree news is she has started to 'crawl'! She has been working on getting her legs under her for awhile now and last Thursday (April 21st), Emma was in bed and Shane was in the shower, and Bree and I were just hanging out on the floor. Bree rolled on to her tummy and next thing I saw was she had her knees under her and her arms holding her head up and kicked herself forward and did it again and again! Its kinda like an inchworm crawl...I was completely blown away! I ran to tell Shane what she was doing and grabbed the video camera and was able to catch her in action! She is definitely one determined little girl!

I found Emma playing with her jewelry and here is what she came up with!

She took the eyes off of a paper bag puppet she made a church to give this creation some eyes!

Bree sleeping on daddy!

Emma playing...she dumped every bin of her toys, turned them upside down and put a carebear on each one!

Sisters!

Emma being, well...Emma!

I look at this picture and get flash forwards to when she will be 13!!!

Emma has such an imagination...this time she decided to turn her shoes into cars for her carebears and little people!

The girls playing blocks!

A cute baby and some drool!

Goofy Emma!
