Halloween 2011

Halloween this year was fun for multiple reasons, it was Bree's first Halloween and Emma was really into it for the first year! Emma wanted to be Tinkerbell, and mommy choose a cute cuddly kitty for Bree!

What a beautiful Tinkerbell Emma made!

We trick-o-treated at a few houses in our neighborhood then headed to the huge Halloween carnival/party our church was putting on!

Emma riding the ferris wheel!
This was the only picture I got while at our church...but they had LOTS to do including a carnival rides, hayrack rides, marshmallow roasting outside...and inside, there were lots of games, bounce houses (big and small), food, and lots of candy (just to name the things we participated in!)

October Pictures

October was a good month...we enjoyed playing at the parks and going for walks! Here are some pictures to wrap up the month!

Bree loves to play peek-a-boo!

And she loves to clap too!

Had to get a picture of Bree with a pacifier...she does not use one, never has, but found it in the toys and thought it was fun to chew on! I thought she looked pretty cute!

One of Emma's best friends, Lily, turned 4 in October, so her and I attended her birthday party on a Saturday...it was fairy themed! And let me tell you, Lily's mom is awesome at throwing parties! You know its gonna be a good party when you open the invitation and fairy dust comes flying out! So Emma wore her new Tinkerbell costume (new to her that is, cousin Mady gave it to her, and it was perfect!) At the party we enjoyed making fairy wands and fairy dust, playing games, going on a treasure hunt, having lunch and playing! When we got home, Emma wanted to sprinkle her fairy dust outside:

Time to fly!

Silly Bree!

The laundry tends to be a fun place to play in at our house!

Bree watching Dad and I work on the garage!

Crochet Boots I made for Bree! The hat above this picture was my inspiration to learn how to crochet...its been a blessing, since I haven't been able to sew much lately! I definitely enjoy a creative outlet!

Pumpkin Patch Fun

On October 14th, we met our small group from church at a local pumpkin patch. It was evening, so it got cold pretty fast, but we were able to enjoy the corn maze for a while, picking out a pumpkin for Emma and Bree, sitting by the bonfire, and Shane and Emma enjoyed a hayrack ride underneath the beautiful stars! Bree got hungry and it was too cold for her, so I fed her in the van. We enjoyed a yummy supper at a local restaurant on the way home.

Happy Bree in her new hat!

Beautiful sunset

Emma in her new 'hoot owl' hat...so cute!
After buying the girls' cute hats on etsy, I decided I need to learn to crochet myself...so that is my new hobby (will post more about that later)!

October Trip to Nebraska

Emma, Bree and I headed west with my bestie Heather and her son, Nolan. Heather's hubby Jon was on a missions trip to Haiti, so we thought it would be a great time to go home to Nebraska to visit our families. Heather lives in Indiana, so they headed this way on October 5th to stay the night with us. That evening, we went to Emma's 'parent watch night' at dance. The next morning, we loaded up and hit the road by 7am! We stayed until the 13th. While home, we were able to see lots of family and friends...here are some pictures of our time:

While home, we got to meet little Miss Allie Kay...my friend Codi's new baby girl! We always hang out with Codi while home, so it was exciting to have our girls play!

Miss Allie was so sweet and smiley...what a happy baby!

My sister and nieces came down and spent the weekend at my moms...the girls really enjoyed playing!

Emma and her Nana

At night, Emma loved taking a book down to Papa Carson so they could read together...she still talks about doing this!

Bree LOVES shoes! She enjoys 'trying' them on!

The traveling crew...God blessed us with a great trip both ways...it was a 12 hour drive with a 10 month old, 16 month old, 3 year old, a pregnant Heather and me!
