The time has come to transition Emma to a big girl bed! We decided last Friday, the 18th, would be the day! I spent the few days before making Emma some new bedding to go with her new bed. I made her a big minky blanket and matching pillowcase.
Friday after supper, Shane and Emma put together Emma's new bed!

Emma in her crib one last time!

Bree with her new letters!

Emma wanted to try out her new bedding in her crib since her bed wasn't up yet!

Super happy Emma about her big girl bed!

Emma taking a turn in the bumbo!

Emma helping Shane put the bed together.
Shane really let Emma help...he is so patient with her! She had a blast!

Emma learning 'righty tighty, lefty loosey'!

Emma snug as a bug in a rug!

We didn't have time to arrange the room Friday night, as you can tell from Emma's new pink clock that it was already 9pm and bedtime! So we hung the girls letters and arranged the room on Sunday.

Sophie and Emma all ready for bed!

Emma's letters...I need to get a new photo for the big picture frame.

Emma's bed...I got one that resembled the crib, which so happened to also be the least expensive one I could find...praise God for that!

The crib is all ready for Bree now!
We bought her a new mattress, mattress pad and sheets.

Emma has transitioned really well to her new bed! We are very proud of her! She has been sleeping and napping in it without getting out of bed. She has woke up a few times during the night because she has fell halfway out of bed, but is getting better and learning her new sleep boundaries!
We will soon be transitioning Bree to the crib. Right now it is just so convenient to have her right beside me to nurse and she is still staying up later, but in another month or so she should be sleeping a little longer and will be ready.
