For my Mom...

I dedicate this post to my mom, because I love her and miss her and only God knows when I will get to see her next!
Mom - I pray God's glorious riches will be poured out on you! We love you!!! Enjoy!

Emma's Big Girl Bed!!!

The time has come to transition Emma to a big girl bed! We decided last Friday, the 18th, would be the day! I spent the few days before making Emma some new bedding to go with her new bed. I made her a big minky blanket and matching pillowcase.
Friday after supper, Shane and Emma put together Emma's new bed!

Emma in her crib one last time!

Bree with her new letters!

Emma wanted to try out her new bedding in her crib since her bed wasn't up yet!

Super happy Emma about her big girl bed!

Emma taking a turn in the bumbo!

Emma helping Shane put the bed together.
Shane really let Emma help...he is so patient with her! She had a blast!

Emma learning 'righty tighty, lefty loosey'!

Emma snug as a bug in a rug!

We didn't have time to arrange the room Friday night, as you can tell from Emma's new pink clock that it was already 9pm and bedtime! So we hung the girls letters and arranged the room on Sunday.

Sophie and Emma all ready for bed!

Emma's letters...I need to get a new photo for the big picture frame.

Emma's bed...I got one that resembled the crib, which so happened to also be the least expensive one I could find...praise God for that!

The crib is all ready for Bree now!
We bought her a new mattress, mattress pad and sheets.

Emma has transitioned really well to her new bed! We are very proud of her! She has been sleeping and napping in it without getting out of bed. She has woke up a few times during the night because she has fell halfway out of bed, but is getting better and learning her new sleep boundaries!
We will soon be transitioning Bree to the crib. Right now it is just so convenient to have her right beside me to nurse and she is still staying up later, but in another month or so she should be sleeping a little longer and will be ready.

A few comparisons...

Here are some more pictures of the girls! At the bottom of the post are some comparison pictures of Emma and Bree at the same age. Looking back at pictures of when Emma was a baby only solidified that they do not look alike that much...and to be honest, I love that about them! They both are so unique in their own way! There have been many of times that I have put Bree in Emma's old clothes and thought 'well, that just doesn't seem right' as I have flashbacks of Emma in that same outfit!

Sunday outfits...polka dots and flower hats!

I just can't get enough of this smile!

Bree with one of her bibs I made her last week! Yes, it matches everything else ;)
Last Thursday, when I was at hobby lobby in the bathroom, the girls were waiting outside with my friend Teresa, who said a woman came by and said 'wow, everything matches!'...her reply was 'yes, down to even the girls'! I had Emma and Bree dressed in their matching shirts I made them, that match the diaper bag...so sue me if I like to coordinate!
But I did buy some beautiful fabric that does not coordinate to make some stuff...so be expecting pictures of those things in month or so!

Daddy holding a very sleepy and sweet Bree-Bree!

Seriously, could this smile get any cuter!?!

Yes, yes it can!!!

Bree - 3 months

Emma - 3 months

I forgot how much hair Emma had and how CRAZY it was!

Emma - so sweet!

Emma again!
And yes, I loved pink and orange 2 years ago...as a matter of fact I loved it 6.5 years ago (do you remember my wedding people)!
