Our Emma Eloise turned 3 on September 3rd!!!
Wow, those three years went by fast! We are so blessed by her beautiful and joyful spirit! She has such a strong personality and is growing very independent, but at the same time, she loves to ‘love’ on you and still enjoys cuddling…especially with her dad!
Her favorite color is no longer pink…but she will tell you it’s too hard to pick one because she likes so many! She does favor blue and purple right now. She is doing well on her potty training and will be moving into underwear soon. She LOVES to dance and sing! We are always making up songs and dancing in the kitchen to music…she will drop anything that she is doing if she hears music to dance! She started dance class last week and is very excited for it!
Emma is very imaginative in her playing, and will still play by herself well, but has liked me to join her more often now. She is into Cinderella, Tinkerbell and Rapunzel right now, and watches those movies over and over again. She has developed quite the sense of humor and enjoys teasing. She loves for me to do her hair and prefers to pick out her own clothes (as well as Bree’s), and will change several times a day. She adores her tutus and is usually wearing one! She loves shoes and wants to try them on whenever we are near some at a store. She no longer rides in the cart, but has done very well in walking with me at the grocery store and other places.
Emma is ‘teaching’ me a lot of being a parent. She is strong-willed and likes to test the boundaries. She is also quite the social butterfly (unlike her mom). She enjoys church and going to kidzone to see her friends. She gets along well with kids and adults of all ages, and really enjoys interacting with people.
What a joy she is to us and we thank God for her!!!

After playing at the waterpark and mostly floating on the lazy river (Emma's favorite) and lunch, Emma came back to open presents and eat cake/cupcakes. She had opened her bike when she first woke up...we hid it in the shower with a sheet over it...she was very surprised. I got her reaction on video.

The girls ready for Husker game time!Emma got a new Husker cheerleader outfit from Grandma & Grandpa Struckman

Uncle Jon helping Emma the penguin down the slide(this was right after we witnessed a guy get down on one knee and propose to his girlfriend right in front of us while we were looking at the penguins)

We all enjoyed the weekend! I think Emma felt loved and very special on her birthday!
The only thing that didn't make it home was my ipod touch...I lost it on the day we went to The Shedd...I checked with our hotel, Soldiers Field parking garage, The Shedd, and went through the minivan 3 times and it hasn't turned up anywhere...so I will be adding that into next month's budget!
