Shane, Emma and I had a fairly relaxing weekend. I don't think we are ready for it to be over yet!
Shane fed Emma for the first time! Which was exciting for him! I pumped on Saturday and Shane gave Emma about 2 ounces around noon so we could see if she would even take a bottle, since the plan was to have Shane give her a bottle during the night (so I could actually get more than 2 hours of consecutive sleep!) Emma had no problems taking the bottle...which was a little baffling to us, since she fights taking a pacifier!
So I got Emma to bed at 12:20am, and when she woke up at 1:10am to feed again, Shane got up and changed and fed her! So I didn't have to get out of bed again until 4:50am to feed her! I did wake up when she did at 1am and it took me awhile to fall back asleep, but I did end up with 3 hours of sleep. What I liked most about it was getting to sleep that long in my bed! It felt so good, the recliner is starting to get to my back!
Shane said he would do that feeding for me anytime...so I think I will have him do that on the weekends! I won't during the week, since he has to go to work!
I also was able to get Emma's announcements done this Friday/Saturday, and sent them to Wal-Mart to be printed. Then I went to Wal-Mart and picked them up on Saturday evening...all by myself! It was really strange going somewhere without a big pregnant belly or a baby...I haven't been alone for 10 months now! I have to admit, I wasn't crazy about it...I really like having Emma with me!
Shane started his TopGun class this Saturday. It is a really neat program that our church offers for men that focuses on becoming the man, husband, father, etc. that God calls you to be. It is a pretty big commitment...it meets between 6:30-8:30am every Saturday for 35 weeks, he has books he has to read, cds to listen to and verses to memorize. He is excited to see what God has in store for him with it!
Saturday night Shane watched the Nebraska game...I took advantage of Emma sleeping and took a shower and pumped. I don't think we really need to say anymore about the Nebraska game!
Today, we tried to make it to church, but were all very tired and Emma was hungry at 4:50am, 6 am, 7:30am and again at 8:45am! We really don't ever get much done in the mornings!
We did make it to the grocery store at noon. And then our friends, Phil and Kirsten Minino stopped by in the afternoon to meet Emma!
That pretty much wraps up our weekend!
I do want to wish my niece Zoe Happy 3rd Birthday! It was on Saturday! We love you!

Dad feeding Emma for the first time! He was a natural!

Emma is in her other Husker onesie and her John Deere socks! She was getting hungry, so she wasn't very happy!

Emma in polka dots! Her eyes always get big b/c of the flash!

All bundled up to go for a walk with mommy and Bella!
