Big News...

Yep, we have some big news...we are MOVING! Shane has accepted a job offer with Lincoln Industries in Lincoln, NE. It all has been pretty unexpected. Shane has started to feel God leading us closer to home, so in late April he did a little job searching on the internet and applied for a few jobs. He received offers from a place in Kearney and in Lincoln. After much prayer, he decided to accept the job in Lincoln.

In all honesty, this is a very, very hard move, and not one we would even consider if Shane didn't feel God's leading. We are sooo happy and content in Muscatine. We love our house, our church, our friends, Shane likes his job. I could have raised my family here! We have an amazing support system here. But God says to us in Proverbs 19:21 "Many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails."

Shane starts work on June 25th, and fortunately we had enough vacation left for him to take the whole week prior to starting his new job off! We had an incredible week. We took one last trip up to Dubuque and stayed at the waterpark hotel and went to the museum and aquarium. On our way home we stopped at the American Pickers store in Le Claire, IA, we have always wanted to go and we thought we better, since its only like a 35 minute drive from us.

Shane and I took one day and headed to Chicago Skydive to use our rainchecks from his birthday weekend...wow, it was a blast! I will post pictures and video of that!

We also hit up the different parks we liked to go to and ate at our favorite restaurants! And last, but not least...we camped in our backyard! Something that Shane always wanted to do! It was such a great week!

The girls and I will be staying in Muscatine until mid-July, which is when the movers come to load all our stuff. Our house officially went on the market on June 11th.

Beds set up and brought the laptop out...we watched a movie, had popcorn and went to bed! Everyone slept really well! We only woke up once to use the bathroom around 2 am and the stars were amazing!

To conclude our camping experience, I fried bacon and eggs using the burner on our grill for breakfast!

Sunday, June 24th...time to pack daddy to head to Lincoln.
