Long Time, No Post...

Wow, I haven't blogged in 13 days! I think that is a record for me (one I shouldn't be going for I don't think!)
Well, we have had a busy last 2 weeks, but it will take me a few minutes to think about all I have done, good thing I take pictures!
Last Saturday, Shane took us girls to the QC. I had many stops I needed to make, and its hard with a little one, so Shane nicely said he would help me! I use to do all the errands during the week, so our weekends were free to do whatever. Anyway, we stopped at JoAnn's Fabrics, the mall, Petco, Sam's Club and Target. Emma did very well. I nursed her while Shane ran into Petco just to get Bella's cookies (her fav that she has to have...she always gives me this dumbfounded look if I try giving her a treat that isn't a dog cookie) anyway, I told Shane to get quite a few since I dont know when I will make it back (I think my specific words were..."when you think you got plenty, get some more"). They sell them by the pound, and boy did I eat my words...he came out with 4.5 lbs!!! Bella went nuts over the bag alone! Based on what Shane came out with, I think I usually pick up 2 lbs.
Here are some picks from last week...

Emma likes to roll over to the vent and bang on it

It reached almost 70 one day, and so we went for a walk, my friend Mora-Leigh went with us

Last Sunday's church outfit...this is Emma's "Brittany Spears school girl look, w/ out showing skin"

All tuckered out!

Here is my new sewing machine table, it is quite nice and I have enjoyed it

This week we had a visitor!!!
My best friend, Heather, drove up from Indiana to see us for a few days. She arrived on Wednesday and had to leave Friday. We had a great time just catching up and relaxing. She joined me for my mom's Bible study, where she nicely took over taking care of Emma most of the time so I could actually fully participate! It was great!
I gotta say a big thanks to Heather's husband, Jon, who was nice enough to share her with us! They both are very busy with grad school and law school! We hope to get out and see you guys soon, I can't wait to see your new house (even tho you have lived there almost a year!)
Here are some pictures of her visit...

This weekend we were suppose to make a trip to Omaha/Lincoln, but Emma and I weren't feeling well. We all were pretty bummed! Instead we relaxed most of the weekend. We did make it to church this morning and the grocery and picked up a movie to watch.
When we got home, Shane was making Emma giggle before we got her out of her carseat...it was soo cute, she was laughing so hard she was blowing bubbles, I tried to get a picture of it, but wasn't able to...but here are some of her laughing.

I was trying to get a picture of Emma in this outfit...Cousin Haley sent Emma some of her cute clothes that no longer fit her. Thanks Haley!
Well, thats all for now!

Emma Turns 6 Months!!!

Wow, hard to believe my baby Emma turns 6 months old today! Everyday I still look at this beautiful girl and am overwhelmed that I get to spend everyday with her! She really is a true, true blessing in our lives! And I am sooo very thankful that I get to be a stay-at-home mom, because I already feel like there are not enough hours in the day to hold her!
Well, this post is short in words, but long in pictures. Its after 8pm and Emma is starting to get fussy and sleepy, and I need to try and keep her awake long enough for her daddy to get home (who is still at work), so he can get a little snuggle time with her!
Enjoy the pictures!

Welcome to the world Emma Eloise!

A very proud daddy

A very happy mommy!

Happy 6 Month Birthday Emma Eloise Struckman!
Mommy and Daddy love you so very much and love seeing you grow and change and discover new things!

The following is the verse of the day I got in my email from today...I am still amazed at how God 'knit' Emma together in my womb!
You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body
and knit me together in my mother's womb.
Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!
Your workmanship is marvelous-how well I know it.

Happy Sunday...

Can you believe its March? I can't! But with the 1st of March rolling around, that means my sister Britni, turns another year older! ;) Happy Birthday Sis! Hope you enjoyed your day! Wish we could have been with you to celebrate!

We enjoyed a relaxing Sunday. The sun was shining beautifully...but it was cold! We attended church and small group this morning, ate Las Lomas for lunch...during which my husband informed me I had 'beat to death' and he no longer enjoys it :( I guess I have a habit of getting a craving for something, then all I want is that one thing (we only eat it once a week at the most!)...so I told Shane next Sunday he can pick where we eat! On our way home we swung by RedBox and grabbed Madagascar 2! We watched it this afternoon, it was funny.

We had a good week. Shane stays busy at work. I spent my free time during the days sewing 15 fabric folders that a friend at Allsteel asked me to make, I still have another 9-10 to go! Emma and I went to bible study on Thursday morning. Saturday, Shane had Top Gun in the morning, and by the time he got home, we had to head to the vet to take Bella to get microchipped. In the afternoon, Shane watched Emma while I went to get my haircut. Below are some pictures from this week!

Bella shrunk a.k.a...got a haircut

The fabric folders...it was a good project to learn how to use the buttonhole and button function on my sewing machine

We found some cute hair bows and clips...so be expecting more pictures of Emma wearing them in future posts!

Emma and her mommy!

Cute little denim butt!
Emma wore these to church today, and I decided as cute as baby jeans are...they are not practical, at least these ones...they felt a little too tight to me! Shane thought they were fine, but I don't think she will be wearing them again! Maybe my baby is just too chubby for them!
