We headed back to Iowa today, but after 8 hours and 370 miles, we only made it to Walnut, IA...which is only 46 miles into Iowa. We were able to find a clean Super 8 that takes pets w/ a non-smoking room! Praise God! Lots of people are trying to get rooms, so we are really blessed to have gotten one! The weather really doesn't seem bad out, and the forecast only called for slight moisture...but it is causing black ice and we have only been able to drive 25 to 40 mph and the traffic is getting really backed up!
Shane walked over to get us McDonalds for supper..our only option!
